The German government requested to recall 8.5 million Volkswagen cars in fraud scandal.

There are 11 million vehicles are to be affected by the fraud scandal of global VW and the German government has asked the company to recall 8.5 million cars within the EU in order to repair, remedy cost to the consumer. Of the 8.5 million 2.4 million vehicles there are in Germany, 365,000 vehicles in Austria, the rest in 26 other countries in the bloc. In the US, the country can break out of this scandal, there are 482,000 vehicles are affected. Expected in the next week, Volkswagen will be presenting plans to fix 90,000 vehicles in the US to test the US government before the mass recall. More likely is that, were summoned to repair but VW still has to compensate any additional damage to the customer because the resale value of the car was much lower than before the fraud scandal. VW's new CEO, Matthias Mueller said he expected the recall process will last until the end of 2016 worldwide. Most of the cars in Europe are able to repair the system via software update controls inside the car (motor vehicle 2l above) but some still require hardware replacement (for motor vehicles smaller 1.6L engine). And according to VW, the hardware was not ready until autumn 2016.
